Residential

Kindren Home

Fall 2019

Kindred Home was a group project where we designed a community space in an advanced residential building. This space was designed specifically for expecting or new mothers ages 16 to 21 who are looking for permanent supportive housing. For this project, a large amount of research was done to learn how and what to include in the space to best care for these individuals. This project was made in sketch-up and then rendered in Enscape.

For the second half of the project, we worked individually to design apartment units for the community from the first half. These units are adjacent to the community space. The design was first laid out in Auto CAD and then rendered in Sketchup and Enscape. Lastly, presentation boards were made in Adobe Illustrator.

Martin Residence

Fall 2018

The Martin Residence was a mid-century design project based around aging in place. This meant the clients moving in wanted to be able to live out the rest of their lives here. For the project, we were each given the shell of a condo. It was up to us to come up with a layout that fit all of our clients' requests. One of the most important aspects of my design was finding ways to let in natural light. This project was made on sketch-up and then hand-rendered. Along with the rendering, there were also construction documents and a project binder.

Watson Residence

Spring 2018

The Watson Residence was a home designed in the Arts and Crafts style.  For this project, we were asked to choose a designer from this style and research them. Then we were asked to use it as our inspiration for the space. For my design, I chose Gustave Stickley. This project was made in Sketchup and then hand-rendered.

Parker Residence

Spring 2018

For this project, we were given one of two choices. For both choices we had the same floor plan and the same perspective angles but we were given options on which set of furniture we want to use. This project was hand-drawn and hand-rendered.
